About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how TripZen DWC-LLC ("Trip Zen", "we" or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. Please read it together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more broadly.
We keep this footprint deliberately small: one necessary cookie, one session storage item that stays in your browser unless you submit a form, and optional analytics that load only after you agree.
Change your choice at any time
Select Cookie settings in the website footer to reopen your preferences. You can allow or refuse analytics and marketing cookies separately, and changes apply straight away.
Categories we use
- Necessary: needed for the website to work securely and to remember your cookie choices. They are always active and do not require consent.
- Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the website, such as which pages are viewed, so we can improve it. Used only with your consent.
- Marketing: help measure how our campaigns and communications perform. Used only with your consent. This website does not currently set any marketing cookies.
- Enquiry attribution: session storage that remembers how your visit started so it can be attached to a form you submit. It stays in your browser unless you submit a form, and it is never shared with analytics or advertising providers.
The cookie banner and Cookie settings let you choose analytics and marketing separately. Necessary cookies and enquiry attribution are always active and cannot be switched off there, but you can clear session storage in your browser at any time.
Cookies and storage that are always active
tz_consent
- Category: necessary
- Type: first-party cookie
- Purpose: stores your cookie choices (whether you allowed analytics and marketing), when you made them and the version of the consent record, so we do not ask again on every page.
- Duration: 180 days, after which we ask for your choice again.
tz_tracking
- Category: enquiry attribution
- Type: first-party session storage, not a cookie
- Purpose: remembers how your visit started, meaning the first page you landed on, the external website that referred you (without its query parameters) and any campaign (UTM) parameters, so that this information can be attached to a form you choose to submit.
- Data sharing: it never leaves your browser unless you submit a form. It contains no names, email addresses or other contact details.
- Duration: cleared automatically when your browsing session ends, typically when you close the tab or browser.
Cloudflare Turnstile (when enabled on forms)
- Category: necessary
- Type: third-party security service that runs in a frame on our forms
- Purpose: checks that a form is being submitted by a person rather than an automated script, protecting our forms from spam and abuse.
- Duration: any data it keeps in your browser is managed by Cloudflare, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy (opens in new tab).
Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
Depending on configuration, the website may use Google Analytics 4, Plausible Analytics or both. Neither service loads until you allow analytics.
Google Analytics 4
- _ga: first-party cookie that distinguishes visitors. Expires after 2 years by default.
- _ga_<container-id>: first-party cookie that maintains session state. Expires after 2 years by default.
We configure Google Analytics with Google signals and ad personalization turned off, and with advertising storage denied. Google processes this data as described in its privacy policy (opens in new tab). If you withdraw consent, we stop analytics collection and remove these cookies from this website's domain.
Plausible Analytics
Plausible is a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies or store persistent identifiers in your browser. We still load it only with your consent. See Plausible's data policy (opens in new tab) for details.
Events
When analytics is active, the website may also record events such as a successful form submission or newsletter sign-up, for example that a demo request was sent. Events never include what you typed into a form.
Marketing cookies
Your cookie preferences let you allow or refuse marketing cookies separately from analytics. This website does not currently set marketing or advertising cookies, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.
If we introduce marketing cookies, we will describe them in this policy before we use them, and we will set them only after you consent.
How consent works
You choose on your first visit
A banner lets you Accept all, Reject non-essential or Manage preferences. Until you choose, only the always-active cookies and storage described above are used.
Your choice is saved
We store your decision in the tz_consent cookie for 180 days. Analytics loads only if you allowed it.
You can change it at any time
Select Cookie settings in the website footer to reopen your preferences. Changes apply immediately, and withdrawing consent stops analytics collection from that point.
We ask again when your choice expires
After 180 days, or if the stored choice can no longer be read, the banner appears again so you can confirm your preferences.
Browser controls
You can also block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse all cookies, refuse third-party cookies, or clear site data when you close the browser.
If your browser blocks the tz_consent cookie, we cannot store your choice, so it applies only until you reload the page or leave the website, and the banner will then appear again. Optional analytics stays off unless you allow it.
Google also offers a browser add-on (opens in new tab) that stops Google Analytics from collecting data on the websites you visit.
How long cookies and storage last
- tz_consent: 180 days.
- tz_tracking: until your browsing session ends.
- _ga and _ga_<container-id>: up to 2 years by default, set only with your consent and removed from this website if you withdraw it.
- Plausible Analytics: no cookies or browser storage.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: as determined by Cloudflare.
Analytics data is kept by the analytics provider according to its settings and policies. To see how long Trip Zen keeps the information you submit through our forms, read How long we keep personal data in the Privacy Policy.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the cookies or storage we use change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
